Magento2 order data added to BuzzardLabs Pro

In January I created a post about the Alpha version of BuzzardLabs Pro where we were able to add Google Analytics data in smart dashboards. Please read this post if you are not familiar with the current features of BuzzardLabs Pro.

Today I can safely say that we have a great update to announce and that BuzzardLabs Pro is entering beta phase.

Web Analytics Update

Since the alpha release we’ve added Goal Conversions to the Web Analytics dashboard:

Search Console

Ever wonder what the Google Search Console is reporting but hate to login to another Google application? We’ve fixed that for you.

We connect directly to the Google Search Console and will report on:

  1. Possible crawler errors for web and mobile
  2. Page statistics from search (clicks, impressions, CTR and Position)

Great right?

The center of BuzzardLabs Pro; Magento2 order data

Google Analytics and Search Console is nice but those data sources are not the most important. It all depends on the Magento order data.

We currently answer the following questions:

  • How many orders do I have?
  • What is the average number of items per order?
  • How many canceled orders do I have?

Our connector for Magento is only available for Magento2 for now and it only reads Order data. We hope to extend this functionality in the near future to other Magento2 API’s and Magento1 is also on the roadmap (unfortunately).

To import this data you need to configure your Integration settings in BuzzardLabs Pro and data starts flowing. Easy!

BuzzardLabs Pro Alpha version is almost ready for launch

Before we dive into what’s in BuzzardLabs Pro Alpha let’s do a small recap of BuzzardLabs in 2016.

In 2015 I started the idea of building a product which would do basic business analytics for webshops with easy to use dashboards and insights.

Being very lean I’ve worked with Sliday from New Zealand to build a prototype right before Meet Magento 2016 took place in May 2016. This prototype showed some dashboards which combined data sources from web analytics and webstore solutions. All the data shown was dummy data but mainly used to show the potential to webstore owners.

Getting positive feedback from multiple webstore owners during Meet Magento convinced me to start working on the a real working version. Which I did starting in August.

Alpha in the works

Off-course work didn’t go that fast as expected being a single-person company, doing consultancy on the side and becoming a dad for the first time in November. But progress was made.

Just before the end of the year we finished the alpha version which still has some raw edges but it works. The alpha version contains the following:

  1. Only Google Analytics data
  2. You can create user accounts and decide which accounts can create Web Analytics Profiles.
  3. You can have as many profiles, connected to a company, as you want.
  4. You will get one overall dashboards which show a number of KPI’s for all profiles created.
  5. You will get one detailed dashboard for each different profile which can be accessef from the overall dashboard.
  6. You can put both dashboards on a big TV and use the refresh function to have up2date information.
